Poem: In the silence, they’ll hear

The majority of the noise comes from the minority,

that minority whose ego makes them yell and scream,

craving attention, craving eyeballs, craving acknowledgment,

they want the world to know they exist,

they matter,

they are real,

while the majority is silent,

they have the ego too but it’s been grinded down by life,

they understand that it doesn’t matter,

that it’s all for nothing,

meaningless, that’s

what life can seem,

but the minority doesn’t know this simple fact of life,

let them yell themselves hoarse,

then they’ll be quiet, and

in the silence, they’ll hear

the disregard of life,

sweet child,

young one,

do you hear it?
